The Lightning look tons better tonight. Lots of energy to start the first. Good forecheck and Bergenheim is getting into the Leafs' face. Bergenheim gets a coincidental minor with Kessel for slashing.
Midway through the first, Nate Thompson scores from a nice pass from Purcell. 1-0 Lightning.
Colby Armstrong block a shot by Bergeron with his foot. Limps off to the bench. Looks like it hurts.
Eric Brewer takes a dumb interference penalty with 2 seconds left in the period.
The Leafs come out with a little bit more jump, but the Lightning keep up their pace of the game. Dion Phaneuf scores.
Ritola makes it 2-1. The Sportsnet announcers say his name like it's a Ricola commercial.
Roloson makes an unreal save on Clark MacArthur. His legs are flying in the air.
Reimer doesn't see the puck go past him and Ritola gets his second goal of the period. Good play by both Clark and Purcell leading up to the goal. 3-1 Lightning. Riiiiiitollllaaaaa

Hedman tries to shoot, but the puck is blocked by Kulemin. Now Kulemin is off to the races with MacArthur and Hedman is trying to hook him but no dice, Kulemin scores and it's 3-2.
The Leafs now have some momentum after the goal, Ohlund puts the puck over the glass and says 'F-ck off' to the ref, not surprisingly, that doesn't help his case. Lightning kill off penalty and no short-handed goals given up.
Lecavalier brings the puck into the Leafs zone, protects the puck and gets it to Gagne. Gagne shoots and off of Reimer, Lecavalier taps the puck in. Lightning 4-2. Teddy Purcell now has three assists. After the goal, Lecavalier is joking around on the bench which may be as loose as I've seen him all season.
More pressure from the Lightning. Dion Phaneuf is like a caveman, breathing down Stamkos' neck throughout the period.
Stamkos puts the puck in deep, St. Louis centers it to Dominic Moore and he makes it 5-2. Leafs pull Reimer, Giggy in net.
Phil Kessel has a great scoring chance and shoots it over the net.
Stamkos gets the puck back to the point to welcome back Mike Lundin for his first goal of the season on a slap shot. Boom. Lightning up 6-2.
Shots on goal: Lightning 36, Leafs 32
