Lightning lost 3-2 in a shootout.
Although there was no scoring in the 1st period, the Lightning go up on a powerplay late in the period, and you'd think that would be a good thing. But Vinny is battling PK Subban in front of the net. They trade some slashes. Vinny becomes to get angry. Subban continues to be a douche.

Then this happens:

Leads to a slashing major and a game misconduct for Vinny. Subban got a minor for slashing. Subban may have a career in acting after all this hockey is over.

"How can you tell we're in Canada?"

That's what SUN Sports asked during their commentary of the game tonight after Vinny was ejected from the game. I don't think it has to do with being in Canada at all SUN Sports, I just think the refs made bad call or rather the slash was right but the game misconduct was too much. I don't think this happened just because we're in Canada. Plus, Vinny is from Montreal, non? Maybe this would make more sense if he wasn't French-Canadian.

The Lightning are still on their powerplay in the 2nd period and convert with a shot from Teddy Purcell. The Habs tie it up shortly after with a goal from Andrei Kostitsyn.

The third period consisted of the Lightning letting in ANOTHER SHORT HANDED GOAL (#12) and getting a powerplay goal themselves. Goal is his 12th of the season by #12 Simon Gagne

Mike Cammalleri got the game winning shootout goal.

Lightning play the Senators next in Ottawa on Saturday.
