Previous games this season: November 19 - Devils win 4-2

Game time: 7:00pm EST on Versus and TSN2

One win in seven games. Stop the bleeding....

Tonight is the matchup of the 12th and 13th East teams who have not fared well in their recent games. The Lightning have only had that one win over the Rangers in their last 7 and the Devils have had their last regulation win on November the 25th.

The news of today was that Antti Miettinen was signed, Steve Downie was fined for getting involved in the scrum after the Anisimov celebration and Evan Oberg has been called up again.

What are the other guys saying?

They are probably having a more disappointing season than we are than we are. The fact is, NJ and Tampa Bay are teams that are used to being in playoff contention at this point of the season and both are in the bottom half of the conference. Both teams are desperate to get 2 points tonight which would be a step in the right direction. -RWTD

The issue with the Lightning is that they are not shooting enough. Like no shots on net for long stretches in the 2nd and 3rd period of the game in Philly. Hard to fault Garon when your team just ain't helping you out. The Lightning will face Johan Hedberg in net for the Devils tonight.

Go bolts

Line-up Notes:

  • Roloson will get the start in goal
  • Pavel Kubina is a game time decision
  • Evan Oberg has been called up
