What a win
The Lightning needed to go into Pittsburgh and get it done. And while they only needed a win, they got their win in commanding fashion.
Like a lion, Stamkos decided he wanted to get in a roar into the series

ROAR!
Your recap after the jump...

Let's recap:
The Lightning played most of the first period like their were trying not to lose. It was hard to watch.
Then out of nowhere, some brilliant passing emerges between Purcell and Lecavalier.
Like 200 passes. Purcell takes a shot that rings off of both posts before coming back out.

But Simon Gagne makes no mistake and puts it in the net. 1-0 Lightning.
Both Lightning and Pens fans alike are wondering where this came from.

Less than a minute later Stamkos came out with his first goal of the series.
He takes on both Michalek and Martin and tries to split them. Doesn't work. He hangs out at the front of the net as Downie shoots the puck back to the net and then Stamkos outworks the Pens and backhands the puck over Fleury to put the Lightning up 2-0. Woo!

Less than two minutes into the game, Lecavalier makes it 3-0

Simon Gagne makes it 4-0 and it's only 5:31 in the 2nd period

Fleury looks like he's given up on life.
He gets pulled and is done for the
Johnson is no better

The Lightning get their first powerplay goal of the game, and Stamkos' second goal of the game

Fleury watches his team continues to look sad as his team continues to get scored on. Pens fans start to leave the Consol arena.
It's now 5-0 heading into the third
The Lightning get a powerplay early in the 3rd period from a high sticking penalty by Kovalev.
I'm getting bored with finding photos. So no more photos.
We score some. Pavel Kubina scores on the PP. Then he scores against on the PP.
Then the Pens score two by some players on their third or fourth line.
Then we score another PP goal. 8-2 Lightning.
We stay alive for one more game.
