Did tonight's game feel like a measuring stick game?

You could say that it was. Tonight has been the first game where Tampa Bay fans could come away from the game, overlooking Smith's collapse in net, and feel a little confident in that win. With the Pens being to the cup twice in the last three years, and with talent like Crosby, Malkin and Fleury on their team, tonight's game showed that the Lightning are coming around as a serious team.

So let's recap:

The Lightning begin their come back, starting with a goal from Teddy Purcell at 16:40 of the 1st period. It's 3-2 Pens.

In the second period, the Lightning are working hard and playing a smart game. The refs are giving out powerplays to the Lightning like it's free candy on Halloween. In five powerplays in the 2nd period, the Lightning capitalize only once, but a goal by Lecavalier is enough to make it 3-3.

At one point, Nate Thompson outskates Malkin on shorthanded breakaway:

Fleury is saved by the crossbar.

Sean Bergenheim was hooked on a breakaway by Malkin and gets a penalty shot. No contest for Fleury though, easy stop.

The Lightning head to the third period with everything even Steven in the game. Both teams are playing well, Ellis is holding his team in the game and Fleury is making some good saves. And then St. Louis takes the period into his hands and makes its 4-3.

Stamkos looks like someone told him that Santa Claus if for real.

St. Louis nets another as an empty net goal.

End of game. Bolts win.
