The two games this week will be against the Boston Bruins on Monday and the New York Rangers on Wednesday. Coming up during the Thanksgiving weekend, the Lightning will head up to Washington for a game on Friday and then to Sunrise for a game on Saturday.
Back-to-back games
Besides the ton of road games that we've had recently, another thing I've noticed is all the back-to-back games that we've had (every single week for the past month). So to verify I checked On The Forecheck's 2010-2011 NHL Super Schedule to see where the Lightning stand as compared to the rest of the league. In all, the Lightning will have 17 back-to-back nights, which seems to be about average for the league (Buffalo has the most at 22, and Edmonton and Vancouver have the least at 11).
Standings
So far in the standings, the Lightning are sitting in fifth spot, but are tied for points with Boston and Pittsburgh. But notice the plus/minus differencial between them and the top 4 teams? Ouch. Need to work on that.
Player Stats
But something positive is our offensive superstar:
Yeah that's pretty hot.
